8bit_RAM refers to my childhood memory of the limitations and simplicity of early 1980’s computers. Growing up in an era of ATARI, C64 and BASIC, I am exploring the representation of these qualities in the form of blocks, like blocks of code. This manifestation reveals both their limits and uncomplicated potential for development. These works show an ongoing exploration of mixed media work - like playing with Lego.
8bit: Binary digit, smallest storage unit in 1 byte.
RAM: Random Access Memory.
BASIC: Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code
