An ongoing exploration of mixed media work, playing with layering, shadows and reflections. Mixing hand drawn techniques with computer graphics, using upcycled window frames with sandblasted glass and laser cut paper.
About
10 years after establishing a successful design studio in Amsterdam, Klaasz Breukel moved to New Zealand in 2009 with his partner and young children, continuing to run his design business while enjoying a new lifestyle in sunny Nelson.
With over 20 years’ experience as a designer and art director, Klaasz continues to work for a wide range of local and overseas clients alongside teaching at NMIT. He is also a keen video performance artist (VJ), and has been providing live visuals at numerous national and international gigs and festivals. Klaasz enjoys initiating art projects, has extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software and is a dedicated tutor who is very passionate about visual communication and graphic design.
